			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Epinions is an online service which provides consumer-generated reviews, buying tips and advice, ratings and price information on thousands of products. Around since Web 1.0, they desired an updated 2.0 look. A new look and feel for the site was proposed using the existing technology, features and functionality. Entry pages were designed that would create a search jump-off point, as well as personify and focus the user experience. Second level pages were revamped and modernized while highlighting the reviewer community.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Powerset Wiki Browser is natural language search designed to search Wikipedia while offering improved search options, organizers and tools. A design was created that focused solely on the purpose of the service &#8212; searching Wikipedia. With the search box centrally located on the page, enough information is provided to get users started but not distracted. Special attention was paid to keep the color palette, design elements and text secondary to the primary function.</p>

This microsite was designed for the AAAS with the purpose of highlighting key programs, encouraging new membership and soliciting funding. The existing branding and color palette was leveraged to create a design that would resonate the association’s worldwide reputation as a leader in the field. A strong use of color, an uncluttered layout and clear messaging with a prominent call to action were used to achieve the goal.</p>

The primary navigation was simplified, creating a clear distinction between the shopping site and the corporate site. The trademark color palette of red and black was leveraged with the addition of a complementary color palette. After these changes were implemented, sales recovered immediately.</p>
